4 Reasons Why Regular Commercial Carpet Cleaning Is So Important

When life gets busy, it’s easy to overlook how important it to have your carpets professionally cleaned on a regular basis, especially in the workplace. At New Focus Cleaning, we’ve put together four reasons why keeping your office space clean is vital for appearances, hygiene and overall productivity.

Cleanliness

Carpet can often be a magnet for dirt, dust and debris. Over time, these can build up and cause unpleasant odours. Getting your carpets cleaned professionally is a great way to remove deeply-embedded debris and keep them looking, feeling and smelling clean and fresh.

Health and hygiene

After a while, the amount of dust can grow in a carpet, which may result in health issues among your employees. To prevent this build-up, a regular professional clean every 12-18 months is vital. At New Focus Cleaning, we only use EPA-approved cleaning products, meaning there are no harsh chemicals to inhale and adversely affect you and your staff.

First impressions

In business, one thing you’ll know is that it’s all about first impressions. When it comes to potential or existing clients visiting your offices, the overall appearance of your premises can contribute to the perception they have of how you run your business. Keeping you carpets beautiful and well-maintained will ensure visitors have a great first impression of you straight off the bat.

Saving money

Let’s face it, carpet installation is a major financial investment, and vacuuming can only clean so much. With regular professional carpet cleaning, you’ll be prolonging the lifespan of your carpet while ensuring your carpet remains looking great.

5 Benefits of Social Netball for Mums

Regular exercise is very important for a healthy lifestyle, but solo activities and pumping iron at the gym definitely isn’t for everyone. It can also be hard to maintain the motivation to workout on your own, especially if you’re a mum with a lot on your plate.

We’ve all been there, struggling (and failing) to force yourself out of bed or off the couch and into the gym. After all, there are so many good TV shows to binge at the moment, right?

If this is you, then our new ladies daytime netball program (which kicks off on 22 July) could be just what you’re looking for. Designed to be an inclusive environment that encourages women of all abilities to play on a casual basis, the aim is to encourage fitness and fun rather than intense competition.

Even better than that, with no pre-registration or season commitment required (and costing just $7.20 per session), it really is the perfect way to keep fit, socialise and make new friends. That way you don’t have to feel guilty if something comes up and you have to miss a week or two.

Got kids to look after? Not a problem! Just drop them off at the crèche when you come in. In fact, we’re so keen for you to experience our new ladies daytime netball program that, if you come down and play before 19 August, we’ll throw in a coffee and two crèche passes for free!

Five benefits of social netball

Want to learn more about the benefits of taking part? Just check out the rest of this blog to learn about five great benefits of social netball for mums.
Also, just to clarify, women that aren’t mothers are also very welcome! As long as you’re up for some netball, some fun and a bit of a laugh, we’d love to have you join in.
  • Increasing your fitness

Playing netball is an amazing way to improve your overall fitness. You’re constantly challenged by the rules and working as a team around the court with lots of footwork, passing and jumping. It’s also a great way of improving hand-eye coordination (which can come in handy when you’re chasing small children around the house).
  • Making new friends

Because our daytime netball is more about fun and exercise than fierce competition, it’s the perfect way to meet new people and make friends. You also don’t need to be experienced or sporty to participate, so it’s accessible to a wide range of people. The most important thing is that you’re willing to have a go.
  • Reducing Stress

Exercise has been proven countless times as a way to successfully combat stress, depression and anxiety. The release of endorphins paired with the enjoyment of participating in a game with your friends is a great mid-week pick me up that will stimulate various feel-good hormones that will trickle down into other areas of your life.
  • Improving your health

As we become more health-conscious, it’s important that we balance our healthy diets with an enjoyable active lifestyle. It’s not enough just to wear activewear and drink protein shakes, you have to get out there and actually do some exercise as well!
Participating in social netball can help you build your confidence and develop a sense of belonging. This can lead to an overall improvement in your health and wellbeing.
  • Fitting exercise around your schedule

At Lord’s we understand that being a mum takes a lot of time and effort. That’s why we’ve designed our daytime netball program to be as flexible and accessible as possible.

Our crèche facility means that you’re able to participate even if you have to look after the kids. You don’t have to sign up to a long term commitment, which means that you’re free to attend as many or as few sessions as you like.
